The superstar of Thailand! Made famous by Leonardo DiCaprio's movie The Beach, this breathtaking crescent of white sand is surrounded by towering cliffs. While you can't swim here anymore to protect the local coral reefs and thriving blacktip reef sharks, it is the absolute number one spot for capturing postcard-perfect photos that will make everyone back home jealous.

4. Viking Cave

A place wrapped in local legend and history! While you can't step inside the cave itself, your boat will pause right in front of it. Look closely and you’ll see the intricate bamboo scaffolding used by locals to harvest valuable swiftlet bird nests (the star ingredient in bird's nest soup), alongside ancient wall paintings that resemble historical pirate ships. Get your snorkel gear ready! The waters surrounding Viking Cave offer a fantastic chance to spot majestic, harmless blacktip reef sharks up close.

9. Bamboo Island

If you are looking for that classic, wide-open tropical island paradise, this is it. A wide, horseshoe-shaped bay located on the northern side of Phi Phi Don. Because it is much quieter and sees far fewer tourist boats than other spots, it offers a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere and a great sense of remote island exploration.

17. Phi Phi Viewpoint 1, 2, & 3

For the absolute best panoramic views in Thailand, lace up your sneakers and head up the island's famous viewpoint trail. Viewpoint 1 (I Love Phi Phi Sign) offers a beautifully landscaped garden check-in point, but continuing up to Viewpoint 2 is where the real magic happens—unveiling the iconic, postcard-perfect view of the twin bays of Tonsai and Loh Dalum splitting the island. If you are feeling extra adventurous, hike another 10–15 minutes through the shaded jungle path to the highest peak at Viewpoint 3. It is a fantastic spot to grab a cold drink, sit back, and watch a breathtaking sunset over the entire archipelago.

Special Interest Spots (Off the Standard Boat Route)

18. Mosquito Island

A fascinating piece of local history. Located just past Bamboo Island, this spot is currently completely closed to all visitors by the National Park. It was shut down years ago to give the severely damaged coral reefs a complete break from tourism, serving as a successful example of Thailand's dedication to marine preservation.

19. Bida Nok & Bida Nai

These two dramatic limestone islets rising out of the open ocean are not visited by standard sightseeing tours. Instead, they are world-famous sanctuaries reserved exclusively for scuba diving companies. The deep drop-offs and vibrant reefs here are legendary for spotting beautiful blacktip reef sharks and occasional, majestic whale sharks.
